DOCUMENT THE CRIME
immediately (record who, what, when, where and how)

COLLECT EVIDENCE
related to the crimes: save objects, take pictures, keep writing samples or hate symbols

MAKE IT CLEAR to the law enforcement officer that you think this was a hate crime

A national non-profit organization with a goal to raise awareness about relational aggression, provide educational resources and programs and advocate for healthy youth throughout the United States and Canada.

Rats & Bullies - www.ratsandbullies.com
The feature documentary film "Rats & Bullies" probes the suicide of a 14-year-old girl who took her own life after systematic bullying and threats by three teenage girls from her school. The bullies were named in the suicide note which prompted an investigation and lead to two precedent setting cases by Canada's Provincial court in which the bullies were held accountable for their threats.

Subtitled "A Complete Guide to Stamping Out Bullying" this site presents information and insight into bullying from the personal viewpoint of a victim and with the goal of providing other victims with everything they need to know in order to beat bullying. The Chicano Awareness Center (CAC) gang prevention / intervention program continues to work closely with Latino youth to help them avoid the temptations of the gang culture and providing individual and group interventions at the elementary, middle and high school levels in the Omaha Public School System.

A faith-based community organization that values the dignity of human life and promotes social justice. They offer a range of professional services to families in northeast Nebraska. Services are provided to all people in need regardless of religion, race, age or income.

 A non-partisan, non-profit community service organization that provides program services to African-American and others. They seek to eliminate discrimination and to promote a level playing field through programs with goals of self-reliance and equal opportunity.

For 90 years the Anti-Defamation League has been combating anti-Semitism and bigotry of all kinds. Their website includes press releases about responses to hate crimes, resources on how to discuss hate with your child (including 101 Ways to Beat Prejudice), and a timely section on internet rumors related to hate crimes.
